AI Startup SentiSum Raises £540,000 in Seed

London-based AI startup SentiSum has raised  £540,000 in a Seed round from a number of investors including Angels in the City and a group of investors from angel investor network LBA. Ascension Ventures, 500 Startups and London Co-Investment Fund also partook in the round.

Founded in 2015 by Oleksander Bondarev and Sharad Khandelwal, the company has devised an Artificial Intelligence-driven tool to help companies deliver more effective customer experience solutions.

SentiSum’s technology is able process vast amounts of data in real time and flag up what are the most urgent shortcomings of each company’s customer support method. It then can make recommendations or even automate certain processes in order to drive up customer satisfaction.

“Our ultimate goal is to automate and accelerate business intelligence to make our customers smarter, faster,” SentiSum CEO Sharad Khandelwal said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to have the support of our investors as we expand beyond retail to help customers in the insurance industry as well,” he added.

Now the company intends to use the fresh round of funding to expand internationally and enhance its technology.
